Salute

The Lackland Officers’ Spouses Club presented $21,000.00 in scholarships during a banquet at the Gateway Club May 12, 2011. Scholarships were awarded to 13 high school students and 2 spouses, all dependents of Lackland service members, pursuing a degree from a two- or four-year college, university or vocational school.

The Lackland OSC, Air Force Federal Credit Union and First command Financial Services sponsored the scholarships. We awarded $18,000 in scholarships. Air Force FCU gave two awards of $1,000 each, and First Command awarded a $1,000.00 scholarship. The OSC's primary source of funding is the Lackland Thrift Shop.
