The Lackland Officers’ Spouses Club presented $20,250 in scholarships during a banquet at the Gateway Club May 20. Scholarships were awarded to 15 high school students and 4 spouses, all dependents of Lackland servicemembers, pursuing a degree from a two- or four-year college, university or vocational school.

 First Command Financial Services, Air Force Federal Credit Union, and the Lackland OSC sponsored the scholarships. First Command awarded Ashlee Kelps $2,000, Air Force FCU gave two awards of $500 each, and the Lackland OSC gave out $17,250 in scholarships. The OSC's primary source of funding is the Lackland Thrift Shop.
